Finding freelance projects online can be difficult if you are a beginner or don’t know where to look. There are currently 8 different platforms that I use for advertising my freelance writing projects and all of them have been successful.
Some of my advertising for writing will receive more traffic from others but that really depends on where you are advertising and the way you market your services. If you know how to successfully market your services, you will get many clients as opposed to a few. If I were you, I would pick up a marketing course eBook online. There are many free ones you can read about as well.
Here are a few websites that you can use to find freelance projects online.
First one to find a Freelance project online is to look through Craigslist. The first one I ever started on was Craigslist.com. It doesn’t matter if you are an article writer or design websites to use this website. You can post on here if you are looking to write articles, design logos, or create websites for people.
There are also other programming jobs that are in demand like programming for iPhone applications. I would be a bit careful about doing mass posting because Craigslist is currently having a major spam problem to your e-mails and this is one of the reasons I don’t use them anymore.
One of the most popular websites for freelancing is GetAFreelancer.com. They have over 1,000 projects that need to be completed. The project could be as small as sending out Tweets on Twitter or even designing a PHP based website for a large company. There are many employers looking for people to work for them. Most of the projects start at $30 and go up from there, easily bidding up to $3,000 depending on what type of project is posted.
Forums are practically a gold mine for freelance products because people are constantly visiting forums to search for writers or designers at low rates. Once you become established in a forum, you can start charging good prices. Some of the forums where you can find freelance project include digitalpoint forum, warrior forum, wickedfire and v7n.
I am currently making a full time living off of forum income just by writing bulk articles in a short amount of time. Sure, it’s a lot of work but if you are serious about making money – this could be enough to get you by until you become fully established. That means having a good iTrader score. An iTrader score is received from trades or selling items. It’s just like how the eBay system works. If you sell your old antique mirror on eBay and you shipped the goods out quickly to the customer, they will leave you a good feedback rating. This is what users look for when buying services because this tells the community how you do business with everyone and if you have had any past problems selling your services or have not come through for people.
