With one million sales expectation by the end of 2011, Samsung Galaxy tablet has hit the Indian street and is all set to challenge Apple iPads monopoly in the tablet market.
Priced loftily in India, Samsung Galaxy tablet units are sold for $400 in the US. And in India? Well, Samsung Galaxy Tab costs Rs. 38,000.

Why is the tablet cheaper in the US?
Note that the device is sold for $400 with a contract, in the USA. For starters, this means: Samsung Galaxy Tablet have joined hands with a carrier company (in this case:T-mobile USA) and the buyers will be billed monthly. I am not sure on the exact monthly billing, but you if you terminate the plan(valid for some period of time) then be ready to shell out $200 more.
Apart from that, there’s a $35 activation fee. But that’s just in the US.
Back to the Indian version of Samsung Galaxy Tablet. You can get access to all the features the tablet has to offer – just pay INR 38,000 and you’ve got yourself a powerful tablet.
